Casual Pool - Assistant in Nursing

THE ROLE

We are currently seeking Assistant in Nursing (AIN) professionals to join our Casual Pool at Macquarie University Hospital. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain experience across a variety of clinical settings, including:

• The Orthopaedic Institute
• Day Surgery
• Day Infusions Unit
• ICU/CCU
• Inpatient Wards
  
  

In this role, you will support registered nurses and healthcare professionals in delivering essential care to patients. You will play a vital role in supporting our registered nurses and healthcare teams to deliver high-quality, patient-centred care. Your support in assisting patients with daily living activities and basic care needs will be essential in promoting comfort, dignity, and recovery.

TO APPLY
To be considered for this position, you will demonstrate the below requirements in your CV and a 1 page cover letter.

• Relevant experience within the private health sector. Previous experience as an AIN is desirable
• Demonstrated sound verbal and written communication skills and ability to build rapport and empathise with patients
• Demonstrated commitment to high level of customer service always delivered in a professional manner
• Good knowledge of basic nursing care including performing and recording full set of clinical observations, performing ECGs, assisting patients with personal hygiene requirements.
• Demonstrate enthusiasm, and a proactive approach to problem solving
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Commitment to uphold and be a steward of the Mission, Vision and Values of MQ

• Valid Working with Children Check for NSW
• Criminal History Check
